Biography
About
Andrzej is one of the most promising european classical guitarists of his generation. It can be attested for example by winning the Baltimore Guitar Competition. One of his greatest achievements also include prizes at international competitions organized in Gorizia (Italy), Szczecin, Krynica Zdrój(Poland), Olsztyn (Poland), Velbert (Germany), Tallinn (Estonia), Weimar (Germany), Vienna (Austria), Stuttgart (Germany), Żory (Poland) or Brno (the Czech Republic), Klagenfurt (Austria), Kutna Hora (the Czech Republic), Budapest (Hungary), Tychy (Poland).
He participated in master classes given by : Ł. Kuropaczewski, M. Barrueco, H.Käppel, M. Dylla, P. Romero, Z. Dukić, A. Desiderio, C.Marchione J.Perroy, P. Pegoraro, P. Zaleski, M. Tamayo and many others.
He has been awarded a scholarship by the President of the City of Leszno, The Polish Children’s Fund, the Vividus Association in Poznań and Polonia Poznan Lions Club.For his outstanding artistic achievements he was also awarded a Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarship for the years 2011-2016 and the “Young Poland” Scholarship for the year 2013.
As a soloist he performed with orchestras conducted by: Ilya Gajsin, GeorgKöhler, Nicolas Milton, Roberto Zarpellon, Marek Moś, Miłosz Kula, Anna Sułkowska-Migoń. He has given concerts in countries including Poland, Germany, Austria, Russia, Slovakia, France, Belgium, Italy, Croatia and USA
In 2022 he was recognised by „The Acoustic Guitar” as a rising star of classical guitar.
Since 2017 he has been a student of the Academy of Music in Poznan where he joined the class of Lukasz Kuropaczewski . He graduated with honors from Poznan Academy of music in 2022. In the academic year 2020/2021 he was a student at KUG Graz (Austria) and in 2019/2022 and 2020/2022 at the SGA in Pordenone in the class of Paolo Pegoraro. He is currently a student at the jazz department – jazz guitar and a Phd student at the Doctoral School of the Academy of Music in Poznań specializing in classical guitar.
